Ioannis Michaloudis

Prof. Ioannis Michaloudis is a visual artist, researcher and academic, a leader in Art & Science, and the first researcher worldwide to apply the ethereal nanomaterial silica aerogel in visual arts and design. His career began in Paris. After receiving a “Greek Artists” Fulbright Award, he undertook research on art and nanotechnology at MIT where he started his research on the application of the space age silica aerogel in visual arts. 

He is the author of many papers and a book. He has twelve solo international exhibitions and has been invited to many international Art & Science exhibitions and conferences. He is a Research Associate at NCSR “Demokritos” in Greece. 

In 2020, he realized with Boucheron Paris the first-ever high jewelry “Goutte de ciel”. Since 2020 he is the Founding Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Humanities, American University of Cyprus (AUCY), Larnaca, Cyprus. 

At the end of this year 2024, two of his silica aerogel aer( )sculptures will be rocketed to the moon and exist there for billions of years.

Kyriakos Efthynopoulos

Kyriakos Efthynopoulos is an Attorney-at-law and Legal Adviser. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds two master’s degrees in Business Law and Energy Law respectively. He is a lecturer at BCA College and provides Executive Training and Staff Training for companies in the areas of negotiation, effective communication, conflict and crisis management, as well as advising entrepreneurs and private clients in these areas. Having already acquired extensive experience with numerous partnerships, he promotes collaborative negotiation as a means for socio-economic progress and as the most profitable way for companies to maximize profits.

Nikos Pachtas

Nikos Pachtas is an electrical and computer engineer. Since his university studies, he has been involved in emerging multimedia and internet technologies. In 2004, he founded the company Digital Innovations, which specializes in the development of multimedia applications in the field of culture and education. He loves finding imaginative ways to utilize computer science and telecommunications technologies to make the transmission of knowledge a beautiful and thrilling experience. He describes his working status as being a “21st-century storyteller.”

Lena Polyxroni

Lena Polychroni is 26 years old, and for the past 8 years, she has been breathing thanks to someone else’s lungs. This is because she “had” to let go of her own due to cystic fibrosis, a genetic disorder with which she’s struggled her entire life. Her vision is to contribute to the improvement of the healthcare system, so that people stop dying on transplant waiting lists due to organ transplant shortage, or the case being “too challenging”. To this end, she co-produces the coolest web series about organ and bone marrow donation, 'ORGANic Mission.' As she says: 'We came into the world to enjoy it, and at the same time, change it.'
